TITLIS TOWER

TITLIS TOWER

In early June 2026, the TITLIS TOWER opened at the summit of the Titlis (3,020 metres above sea level). This makes it Europe’s highest tower and the latest attraction in the Central Swiss Alps. The renowned architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron brought this project to fruition.

Our Front Office and MICE team were offered an exclusive guided tour this week with Sales Director Tobi Matter. Many thanks for this opportunity to receive all the information first-hand and gain in-depth insights into what Titlis Bergbahnen has to offer.

Even in low temperatures, fog and snow (in June), this tower is an experience! The former telecommunications transmission tower from the 1980s is now open to the public. Although the military and telecommunications technology is still present, it now occupies only a small part of the tower. Two horizontal building volumes, constructed using the same industrial steel construction techniques, have been inserted into the existing steel structure. This has created an iconic, cross-shaped structure that, when viewed from the air, resembles a Swiss cross.

These two sections house the Rolex Lounge and Joseph’s restaurant: casual fine dining in a unique atmosphere. “Culinary highlights, first-class service and a panoramic view that makes every visit special.” That is how it is advertised on the website. We visited the restaurant without a view and in thick fog. It was precisely this weather that made us focus on the interior, and we can only praise it. The acoustics, feel and look are absolutely spot on.

Furthermore, lunch in the Alpine Lounge at Joseph’s comes highly recommended. Here, simple dishes that reflect the region’s diversity are served. I wonder what the menu is like in the Casual Fine Dining section? We’ll try that on our next visit! In any case, both dining options share the same passion: authentic cuisine, inspired by the region, accompanied by personalised service that makes the stay a truly special experience.

The Rolex Lounge is also a visual highlight. Here, watches are curated in a unique setting to suit personal tastes and needs. Here too, an appointment must be made in advance.

The HORIZON DECK is the new viewing platform on the TITLIS TOWER, offering a unique way to experience the vastness of the Alps. 55 metres above the glacier, the view opens up in all directions. From here, you can see over the peaks towards Italy, from the Swiss Mittelland to Germany and France. A place for sweeping views, striking images and a moment to remember. However, this experience does require better weather conditions and an additional ticket (CHF 19).

Thanks to our excellent partnership with TITLIS, we are able to offer our guests a special deal and can highly recommend a visit to the TITLIS TOWER. Further information is available from all our front office and MICE staff. Click here to book the package.
