Opening of the Terminus restaurant

Just in time before the Stansstad-Engelberg railway starts operating. The name ‘Terminus’ was chosen because the hotel is located at the end of the railway line.

Melchior Odermatt opens the Hotel Bellevue-Terminus. What started out as a railway station restaurant became a continuously improving hotel over the following years.

Sale of the hotel by the Odermatt family for family reasons. Several changes of ownership take place in the following decades.

Roger Filliger becomes the tenant of the Yucatan restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. He turns it into the legendary Yuci, which becomes famous throughout Switzerland and even gets an entry in the Lonely Planet.

Roger Filliger buys the Hotel Bellevue-Terminus and has been running it himself ever since.

Summer 2011

Renovation of the guest rooms in the south wing of the hotel. The hotel is completely gutted. New water and electricity pipes are laid, bathrooms are installed in all rooms, all windows are replaced, a new heating system and a new lift are installed. The interior incorporates elements of the Belle Epoque and interprets them in a contemporary way.

Renovation of the guest rooms in the north wing of the hotel. The hotel is completely gutted. New water and electricity pipes are laid, bathrooms are installed in all rooms and all windows are replaced. In addition, earthquake stabilisation measures were requested and built. The staircase is rebuilt in accordance with fire safety requirements. The Living Room by BT is born - this is where life happens.

Various renovations and conversions are realised: Restaurant Yucatan, new warehouse, extension of terrace Living Room by BT, new staff wing, conversion of banquet and production kitchen.
